PDO THREADING

PDO THREADING

Pdo threads (polydioxanone) are biodegradable suture materials that have been used in surgeries for decades. The body absorbs the threads in 6-8 months as they help stimulate collagen production. Individual results vary and can last up to a year.

Smooth threads are used for superficial wrinkles and lines. They can help volumize tissue structures, diminish folds such as smile lines, define lip borders, improve under eye skin crepiness, and much more. Topical numbing cream is used for analgesia. Lifting threads contain small barbs to lift the skin up and return structures to its original natural position. Thread lifts are a relatively new form of non-surgical face lift. If your face has loosening or sagging skin and you want a tighter, fresher more youthful look, this treatment may be suitable. There are no cuts or incisions, little to no down time, and can be used to treat the face and body. During a thread lift, a lidocaine injection is applied to the entry points. The threads are introduced into the skin via a blunt tip cannula into the subcutaneous fat. The treatment results give in an immediate improvement in appearance, but the results will improve over ensuing days and weeks as the PDO stimulates neocollagenesis, increasing the amount of collagen in the skin. The appearance of the skin improves in terms of overall texture, becoming thicker, tighter and firmer as fine lines and wrinkles are reduced. The most important part of preparing for the PDO Threadlift treatment is to stop taking any medications and herbal supplements that thin the blood (if cleared by your medical provider) as these may cause bruising and prolong healing. Examples: motrin, aspirin, vitamin E, turmeric, fish oil, etc. Other than that, there is no preparation for the PDO Threadlift! No heavy exercise (HIIT workouts) or dental procedures for 2 weeks post procedure. Visit our Instagram account to view multiple before and after pictures.
